Suspect accused of robbing Selma man of $2

SELMA, AL (WSFA) -

A Selma man has been arrested for robbery after police say he made off with $2 and a key.

Selma Police Officers responded to a call at the Traveler's Inn on Friday in reference to a robbery.

When officers arrived at the scene, they met with an 18-year-old male victim who stated that he was robbed while walking from his apartment. The victim told police that he was grabbed by the neck and pushed up against a wall by a black male. The suspect took the victim's wallet and then fled to a nearby apartment building.

Witnesses were able to give police a detailed description of the suspect including the apartment in which he ran into. When police arrived at the apartment, they encountered 27-year-old Kchebe Latrelle Neeley. Neeley was taken to the Selma police station where the victim identified him in a lineup.

Neeley is being charged with Robbery 3rd degree and is currently being held with a bond of $15,000.
