BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The Birmingham Police Department's Crime Reduction Team says they were able to take two suspects into custody on Wednesday during the winter storm.

23-year-old Nathaniel Calhoun was arrested at 605 Lee Road in Birmingham. Calhoun is charged with attempted murder, 1st degree robbery, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

The second suspect was taken into custody when Birmingham officers received a tip from the Citizen Observer stating Margaret Jackson was wanted as a fugitive from justice in Missouri. Detectives learned Jackson was working at UAB Hospital. She was taken into custody at the hospital and is awaiting extradition in the Jefferson County Jail.
