The snow hurt the bottom lines of many businesses, but it also helped some.
Golden Rule Barbeque in Irondale was one of the lucky ones. They managed to stay open until 6 p.m. Wednesday night and re-opened Thursday morning. The restaurant was full of hungry people.
One of Golden Rule's partners says he is thrilled people flocked to his restaurant and hopes a warmer forecast will keep bringing them in.
"They're ready. They've been sitting at home, eating groceries, so they're ready to get out and try something else now," said Sammy Derzis.
Restaurant officials say all of the employees were able to make it home safely during Wednesday night's snowfall. They returned to their shifts safely Thursday morning.
