Firefighters were called to the scene of a fire in Glencoe on Tuesday morning.
The fire department says they received the call around 4:30 a.m. to the Main Street Bargin (sic) Central and Concrete Creations at the intersection of West Airport Road and Main Street.
No injuries have been reported. As of 6:30 a.m., the flames appeared to have been extinguished, but smoke still poured from the site.
The building was owned by T. R. "Reggie" Roberts, a local used car dealer. It was rented by Glencoe council member and former police chief Johnny Chambers. Chambers owns and runs "Main Street Bargin Central Concrete Creations" on that spot.
Glencoe police are investigating the cause of the fire with help from the Etowah County Arson Task Force.
