It's not every day that a jewelry store gives its customers their money back after buying something.
But that's exactly what happened Friday at Jeff Dennis Jewelers in Gardendale.
"Pretty much just jumped around and screamed and excited I got my money back," said 12-year-old Bailey Parsons.
Parsons walked out of Jeff Dennis Jewelers with a nice chunk of change after buying his girlfriend some charms during a two-week Super Bowl promotion.
"We had guaranteed folks that had bought from January 21st to February 1st they would all get their money back if there was a safety [during the Super Bowl]," Dennis said.
Customers who watched the Super Bowl they knew within seconds that they would get their refund.
Kathleen McLendon said her husband "was screaming before I even knew it."
McLendon not only took part in this year's promotion but three others as well.
"Winning three out of four is pretty good. I probably would lose the rest of them then I'd be disappointed so I go out happy too," said McLendon.
It's those happy customers that make a happy owner and one who is still turning a profit.
"People are still turning around and buying new things and you know they're spending the money back in the store. And if not even if they're still taking the money and spending it back in the community it's good," Dennis said.
He says just under $70,000 dollars was spent during the promotional period and a total of 461 customers came in Friday and shopped.
He said he is insured so he's not losing all of that money.
