Gov. Robert Bentley is in Washington, D.C. this weekend for the annual National Governors Association Winter Meeting.
The governor will discuss issues affecting Alabama, share Alabama's solutions to addressing prescription drug abuse and highlight Alabama's Transportation Rehabilitation Improvement Program during the meeting, according to a news release from the governor's office.
Bentley chaired the Economic Development and Commerce meeting Saturday.
Alabama Department of Children's Affairs Commissioner Jeana Ross will share the state's voluntary pre-k program during a discussion on early education Sunday.
Bentley will return to Alabama Monday.
