BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The postal service says it will issue a stamp honoring the head flight instructor of the Tuskegee Airmen.

The postage commemorating Charles Alfred Anderson will be unveiled March 13th at a ceremony in Philadelphia. The 70 cent stamp notes Anderson's nickname of "Chief", which is what students called him.

Anderson died in 1996 at the age of 89. He was inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame last year.
