The Hornets will then host Texas Southern on September 27.

Alabama State will then play four straight games away from home, beginning at Alcorn St. (Oct. 4) and  at Prairie View (Oct. 11), in Birmingham against Alabama A&M in the 73rd State Farm Magic City Classic (Oct. 25) and at Southern (Nov. 1).

The Hornets will then return home to host Jackson State November 8 on Military Appreciation Day before ending SWAC play at Grambling (Nov. 15). The Toyota SWAC Football Championship is Saturday, Dec. 6 in Houston, Texas.
