SLIDESHOW: 23 arrested during Operation 'Out of Luck'

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division arrested 23 people during an undercover investigation called Operation Out of Luck.

According to the sheriff's office, the undercover operation lasted several months and undercover detectives bought controlled, dangerous substances from local street-level dealers.

On Friday, March 14, 2014, 23 arrests were made. Most of the cases, according to reports, focused on prescription medication.

Sheriff Jason Ard says, ‘Prescription medication is a problem. Some people will do just about anything to get the drug of their choice. This operation is just another example of my Narcotics Team doing what they do best – protecting the citizens of Livingston Parish.'

The following were arrested and are being held in the Livingston Parish Detention Center:

Ronnie Dale Sanders of Denham Springs, charged with felony manufacturing, distribution, possession of marijuana and illegal use of controlled drug in presence of persons under 17 years old.

John Sullivan of Denham Springs, charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule IV drugs and felony possession of marijuana.

Lyle Dean Abshire, Jr. of Denham Springs, charged with operating a vehicle with suspended license, tail lamps, illuminating devices required, and prohibited acts schedule II.

Shannon Graham of Denham Springs, charged with prohibited acts schedule II.

Angie Wright of Denham Springs, charged with prohibited acts schedule II, and theft.

Ryan Stewart of Livingston, charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule II.

Michael Ambrose of Albany, charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule II.

Charles Dupont of Albany, charged with manufacturing, distribution, possession of a schedule I drug, possession of marijuana.

Casey Stewart of Albany, charged with create/operate clandestine laboratory for the unlawful manufacture of a controlled dangerous substance, prohibited acts, drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, prohibited acts - schedule II, possession of firearm/carry concealed weapon by a convicted felon, possession of/dealing in firearms with obliterated number/mark, illegal carrying of weapon pen: use weapon/violent crime or controlled dangerous substance, violation of uniform controlled dangerous substances law, and probation violation.

Rheagan Renee Sibley of Walker, charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule I.

Jeffrey Binning of Walker, there is no charge information for this inmate.

Dermaine Johnson of Denham Springs, charged with prohibited acts - schedule II.

Victoria Scott of Livingston, charged with prohibited acts - schedule II.

Sheila Graham of Walker, charged with prohibited acts - schedule II.

Jackie Jones of Walker, charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule II.

Shirley Ellestad of Walker, charged with create/operate clandestine laboratory for the unlawful manufacture of a controlled, dangerous substance, and simple battery.

Donald Hynes – Warrant – of Denham Springs, there is no charge information for this inmate.

Ronald McCarthy of Albany, charged with create/operate clandestine laboratory for the unlawful manufacture of a controlled dangerous substance, prohibited acts/drug paraphernalia, safety belt use; tags indicating exemption, and a traffic bench warrant.

Kimberly Briggs of Ponchatoula, charged with create/operate clandestine laboratory for the unlawful manufacture of a controlled, dangerous substance, prohibited acts/drug paraphernalia.

Shawn Goings – Warrant – of Livingston for parole.

Raymond E. Budenich – Warrant – of Denham Springs, simple possession of a schedule I; possession of marijuana. Prohibited acts - schedule II, prohibited acts - drug paraphernalia, and theft.

The following were also arrested during Operation Out of Luck:

John Cox of Walker, charged with distribution of schedule II, possession of schedule II, possession of Schedule IV. He is no longer in the Livingston Parish Detention Center. Bond: $120,000

Michael Sibley of Walker is currently in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison
