A hotly contested zoning issue in Gonzales is on hold for now, which has some people in the city frustrated.
City leaders voted tonight 3-2 to wait six months before taking another look rezoning an area of land on Highway 44 to accommodate wholesale supplier, Crawford Electric.
The business would invest millions of dollars and bring new jobs.
"The people that are against it, I'd like to find out who they are representing," a resident says. "They're the party of no. Everything that comes up that seems to bring jobs to the city, they're against it, who are they representing? I just don't get it."
The city council approved it last month, but it was later discovered that vote didn't count because there wasn't a majority.
