The announcement was made on Thursday that the Dalai Lama is schedule to come to Birmingham on October 24 and stay until October 27. During his visit, public and private events will take place and the weekend will take on a human rights theme. The Dalai Lama will also hold an address on October 26 at Regions Field.
"We are honored to have His Holiness the Dalai Lama visit our City. With our shared legacy of Human Rights, Birmingham continues to establish herself as the cradle of Human Rights for the United States.
