Here is what you saw on Good Day Alabama for April 2, 2014:
JEH JEH LIVE - Enjoy a magical evening with Birmingham Children's Theatre at the family friendly gala Curtain Call Ball. The Ball will feature music, a silent and live auction, gala -inspired food, art activities for kids, and interactions with costumed characters, culminating with a performance showcasing BCT productions on the MainStage. It will be Saturday from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Birmingham Children's Theatre MainStage at the BJCC. All proceeds from the Curtain Call Ball will help ensure that all children, regardless of means, will have the opportunity to experience the joy and educational benefits of live theatre. With your support of BCT's Curtain Call Ball, BCT will be able to continue to bring the magic of children's literature to life on stage. BCT provides more than entertainment: we have educated and enriched the lives of children across the State of Alabama through our productions since 1947. Today, over 50 percent of children who attend our performances are from culturally and financially underserved communities. For more information or to purchase tickets visit www.bct123.org.

BASEBALL BOOK - Roy Berger, a local businessman, followed his dream to be a professional baseball player and shares the tale in his new book - The Most Wonderful Week of the Year! He shares his experience of going to Fantasy Camp... not just once, but six times! He shared his tales of meeting some of his childhood heroes and batting against some of the best pitchers in the game! The men Berger plays with at these camps came from all walks of life—pastors, FBI agents, corporate finance types, business consultants, shop owners, sales reps, corporate execs, bankers, dentists, undertakers—but they all share one passion. The love of the game and the desire to spend one week tapping into the spirit of that eight-year-old baseball fan who never wants the game—or this magical week—to end. First time author Berger writes about his experiences with humor and an enthusiasm that all lifelong baseball fans are familiar with and "THE MOST WONDERFUL WEEK OF THE YEAR" is an accessible memoir that you can share with the baseball fans in your life! ASK THE DOCTOR - Dr. Robert Flannery is a Primary Care Sports Medicine at Lemak Sports Medicine at Trinity Medical Center. He answered questions on Osteoarthritis and explained the difference between it and other types of arthritis. He said the only true way to diagnose it is to see your doctor and get some x-rays. It generally results in an area where you had an injury or that you overused in your career.
