Police continue to investigate fatal shooting at 38th and Waters

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are investigating a shooting that left a 21-year-old man dead on Easter Sunday. 

SCMPD spokesman Julian Miller says the victim, Malcolm Xavier Raphael Mitchell, was driving a white Nissan Maxima when shots were fired from a passing car around 12:45 p.m. at the corner of Waters Avenue and 38th Street. 

The victim crashed his vehicle into a yard, but was found lying in the street with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Memorial University Medical Center where he later died.

No description of the suspect or the vehicle the suspect was driving has been made available at this time.

Police continue to investigate.
