DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) -

An arrest was made Wednesday night in connection to a Dothan homicide, according to police. Emanuel Terrail Bryant, 29, was arrested at a motel in Daleville around 9 p.m.

Investigators set up surveillance at the Greenhouse Inn and Lodge and positively identified Bryant. Agents with the U.S. Marshal's Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Dothan Police Department, and the Daleville Police Department entered Bryant's room and arrested him.

Bryant is now charged with murder in the Tuesday homicide of Daniel Lanier Dawsey, 30. Dawsey was killed in what police say started as a physical assault that turned to a shooting.

The shooting happened in the 1000 block of Eugene Street around 8:45 p.m. Dawsey was taken to a local hospital in critical condition but died from his injuries less than an hour later.

Bryant is being held without bond.
