The Montgomery County District Attorney's office says a jury has returned a not guilty verdict on all counts against a man tried on a 2012 murder case.
Ladarius Frazier was 17 when he was arrested and charged as an adult in the October 10, 2012 murder of 59-year-old John Scroggins.
Authorities believed Scroggins, the city's 24th homicide victim of 2012, was killed during a possible robbery attempt.
Attorneys for Frazier issued this statement:
"We want to thank the jury on behalf of Mr. Frazier of the conscientious deliberations in this case. We feel the verdict was a fair and impartial verdict that represents why we have the best legal system in the world."
Frazier was the second person arrested in Scroggin's murder. The other suspect, Jaquincy Croskey, has not yet gone to trial.
