Five UAB softball players earned All-Conference USA Honors following completion of the regular season, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Seniors Kristen McGrath and Leigh Streetman led the way, earning First-Team All-Conference USA honors. McGrath became UAB's career home run and RBI leader earlier in the season and has a team-leading 49 RBI on the year with 13 home runs. She was also named hitter of the week once this season. Streetman was named the league's pitcher of the week twice this season and is one win away from becoming UAB's career wins leader heading into Thursday's Conference USA Championship. She's totaled a 19-14 record to this point and has seven shutouts to her credit, which ranks 29th nationally.

Sophomore infielder Caitlin Attfield earned Second-Team All-Conference honors, just a season after being named the league's freshman of the year and earning first-team honors. The Niagara Falls, N.Y. native recently broke UAB's single-season record for most hits in a season and has the current UAB single-season records for batting average, total bases and assists. She hit .415 on the year, totaling 28 RBI and five home runs.

Freshmen Mary Warren and Danii Fernandez were named to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team. Fernandez finished the year starting in 41 games at third base, totaling 10 RBI on 33 hits and 29 runs scored, which ranks second-most on the team. Warren totaled seven home runs on the season, third-best among the Blazers, with 26 RBI and a team-leading 12 HBP.

UAB will open play at the Conference USA Championship on Thursday at 10 a.m. CT against the No. 7 seed Marshall.
