The cost of being a mother

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

It's one of the toughest jobs in the world, but mothers across the country do it day in and day out. So it is really possible to put a price on all mom do for their children?

"I don't think I can do it, and that's why we have Mother's Day and not child's day," says Corey Rider.

According to a report by Insure, if moms got paid for their work, their yearly salary would add up to nearly $63,000.

Childcare adds up to about $21,000; cooking and cleaning would be more than $12,000.

When asked how much his mom is worth, Rider said, "At least a million."

"She's priceless," said Bre Freeman, another child who loves her mom.

Cards, candy, and flowers are great one day a year, but what about the other 364 days for a job that gets no breaks, no vacations, but requires plenty of thanks.

"Food on the table, love, even when I had hard times in my life, my mom was always there for me and she still is there for me," said Russell Carter.

"I know when I have kids I want to be just like her," said Freeman.

The position not easy to fill for a job that you really can't put a price on.

Salary.com gives moms a higher salary of nearly $119,000 a year.
