2 suspects sought in $35K Costco theft case

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Two unknown males are being sought by the Montgomery Police Department after $35,000 in jewelry was stolen from the Costco store on Eastchase Parkway Tuesday.

Investigators say the two men walked into the store at 8:17 p.m., walked to the jewelry department and used a hammer to smash through the glass display case.

Authorities say 3 diamond rings were taken in the theft.

The suspects ran out of the store and were last seen fleeing the scene in a small black hatchback.

The suspect in the black shirt has a rose tattoo behind his left ear.

Both are wanted for Theft of Property 1st Degree.
