Update: After some people were without power for more than two hours, NES says that all power has been restored.
NES tweeted, "Sorry for the inconvenience. It was due to a pesky raccoon. All power has been restored."
Original: The station has received many phone calls and emails about the power being out in West Nashville.
Nashville Electric Service says, "We currently have 5,679 customers without power. The outage was caused by a breaker failure at a substation in the west area of town. Crews are on the scene. There is not an estimated time of restoration at this point."
