UAB defeats Chattanooga, 9-2; Face Georgia in game two

ATHENS, Ga. – The UAB softball team (32-26) defeated Chattanooga, 9-2, on Saturday at Jack Turner Stadium to advance to face the NCAA Athens Regional host Georgia Bulldogs.
 
UAB totaled 13 hits including three home runs. JoJo Fallen and Amy Dennis totaled three RBI, while Kristen McGrath, Heather Pearson and Mary Warren all finished with one.
 
Lannah Campbell earned the win in the circle for UAB after tossing six inning and allowing seven hits and two earned runs. She struck out eight and walked one. Leigh Streetman entered and tossed the final inning for the Blazers.
 
UAB will take on Georgia Saturday night in an elimination game. The winner will advance to Sunday to face NC State.
