DAK'S RED, WHITE, AND BLEU SALAD
Fantastic side dish for your favorite summer grilled meat. Pairs perfectly with grilled chicken, steak, pork, shrimp. It has a beautiful presentation, fancy enough to be served with filet mignon but easy enough to make to serve with burgers.
INGREDIENTS FOR SALAD
One bunch of spinach torn
Diced strawberries (amount based on your preference)
Whole Blueberries (amount based on your preference)
Crumbled bleu cheese (amount based on your preference)
Glazed pecans, walnuts, or almonds (amount based on your preference). You can make your own glazed nuts or purchase glazed nuts at the grocery store which saves time!
INGREDIENTS FOR SALAD DRESSING (ORIGINAL RED VINAIGRETTE)
¼ cup of white balsamic vinegar
½ cup of olive oil
1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
Drizzle of honey
2 teaspoons of DAK'S ORIGINAL RED
This can be made in one large bowl or individual bowls. Layer spinach on the bottom of the bowl. Top the spinach with blueberries, strawberries, bleu cheese. Then sprinkle with the glazed nuts.
For the salad dressing, combine balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, drizzle of honey, and DAK's ORIGINAL RED in a jar. Stir well with a fork. Add olive oil, cover tightly, and shake until well combined. You can also use a blender and drizzle the oil in slowly while it is running. You can serve immediately or make ahead of time and put in refrigerator until ready to serve. Be sure to shake well before serving.
