Asian Rim Thai Fried Rice:

 

Canola oil/Vegetable oil

Whole Egg

Protein (chicken, pork, tofu, beef)

Precooked and chilled rice (the secret to a good fried rice)

Minced Garlic

Soy Sauce

Sugar

Black Pepper

Ketchup

Fish Sauce

White Onion

Carrots

Tomato

 

Preheat Wok or pan with oil on a medium/medium high flame

Crack egg in pan and cook to help coat pan and keep protein from sticking

Add protein of choice and cook (could replace this with any vegetable of choice)

After protein is mostly cooked, add garlic/onions and cook until you smell the garlic/onion aroma

Add cooked chilled rice, stir and add ketchup, soy sauce, sugar, & fish sauce to your liking

Turn off flame and add carrot and tomato for color and texture

 

(Note: do not add too much oil as it will make the rice mushy. Also be sparing with the amount of ketchup and fish sauce you add, taste as you go.)
