ALDOT to survey stretch of I-459 after 4 recent deaths

HOOVER, AL (WBRC) -

ALDOT spokesperson Brian Davis says that engineers will be surveying a stretch of I-459 where four fatal traffic accidents have taken place recently.

The area is between the I-65 and Highway 31 interchange. Hoover Police are currently operating a safety blitz with increased patrols to try and make the area safer.

Last week, four people were killed on I-459:

-On June 24, a Mountain Brook man and a mother and child were killed in seperate wrecks.

-On June 27, a person was killed in a three-vehicle wreck.
