TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

Plans are underway for Tuscaloosa's Celebration on the River. This will mark the fourth year for the Fourth of July event that includes a free Kids Zone, Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra concert and a fireworks show.

The Kids Zone will run from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. on the Tuscaloosa News lawn off Jack Warner Parkway. It will include a climbing wall, train rides, ice cream eating contest, balloon art and more.

The Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra performance inside the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5 each or $10 for a four pack. Children five and under get in free.

"We want people to be able to experience the cultural aspect, too," Becky Booker, Tuscaloosa County Park and Recreation Authority Public Relations and Marketing Manager, said. "So, we hope folks will come out. It's a great time to come out and see the amphitheater for a good price.

The fireworks display finishes off the night, starting at 9 p.m.

With construction surrounding the area, organizers encourage parking for free in the Downtown Intermodal Facility parking deck, then taking a trolley to the event site. Booker says trolleys will run throughout the evening.

Tickets for the TSO performance are available through Ticketmaster.com, the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater Box Office or by calling (800) 745-3000.
