Three men are facing attempted murder charges in Gadsden, accused of throwing a brick through a car window that hit a woman in the face.
The incident happened on Sunday afternoon and the victim is still in the hospital. Her condition has not yet been released.
Police say the victim, from Southside, was a passenger sitting in the back seat of a car driving on Eisenhower Street in south Gadsden around 3 p.m. Sunday.
The car was headed to a relative's home, but turned around when the occupants realized the relative wasn't there.
When the car passed by 1820 Eisenhower Street, police say three men forced the car to stop.
At that point, someone threw a brick through the opened back window and it hit the woman in the face, according to Captain Paul Cody with the GPD.
Police say the victim and other passengers didn't know the suspects, and were "uninvolved parties" to a prior dispute.
Police charged the following three people with attempted murder:
Michael A. Hammett, 33, of Gadsden
James B. White, 38, of Gadsden
Jamie L. Ray, 33, of Gadsden
Hammett's bond is set at $100,000 cash, and the bonds for White and Ray are $50,000 cash.
