CHEYENNE, WY (KDVR/FOX) - A diversion or delay at the airport is a huge catastrophe for most people, but one pilot eased his passengers' tension and their hunger by ordering pizza for them.

Capt. Gerhard Brandner's Frontier Airlines plane was sitting on the tarmac for five hours after the Washington, DC-to-Denver flight was diverted to Cheyenne, WY.

So he called Domino's and ordered food for everyone sitting in the cabin. Brandner paid for 50 pizzas out of his own pocket.

"We take care of each other, and I think it's time to take care of my passengers here, so I called Domino's and ordered some pizza," Brandner said. "I'm known for that. If you're around me you'll never go hungry."
