SAN PEDRO HUAMELULA, MEXICO (APTN/FOX) - One marriage in a southern Mexico town turned out to be a real "croc."

Mayor Joel Vasquez Rojas married a crocodile as part of a symbolic ceremony that's a tradition in the small fishing town of San Pedro Huamelula.

The ceremony began with the crocodile bride and the wedding party parading through the town.

Rojas "married" the reptile and even danced with his new "wife" after the ceremony.

All the members of the municipal council are required to help pay for the wedding, and they are fined if they refuse.
