TROY, AL (WSFA) -

A Troy man is facing a long list of charges after a shooting and chase Tuesday afternoon.

Lenoris Sadon Solomon, 28, is charged with assault first degree, possession of a controlled substance, attempting to elude, harassment and assault third degree.

Troy police responded to a shooting in the 100 block of East Orange Street Tuesday at about 1:30 p.m. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported by paramedics to Troy Regional Medical Center.

According to police, a witness on the scene identified Solomon as the shooter and gave a vehicle description. Officers spotted Solomon and the vehicle about 10 minutes later and attempted to stop him on Hubbard Street.

Solomon reportedly refused to stop and after a short time, jumped from the vehicle and fled on foot. He then allegedly ran to Woodland Hills Apartments and went into an apartment.

Officers set up a perimeter and the Emergency Response Team entered the apartment and arrested Solomon.

Police say they found a handgun in the room with Solomon, and they also found crack cocaine in the vehicle he was traveling in.
